The Newark Half Marathon is a well-established and recognised Annual Half Marathon.  It’s aim in order of importance is:

To organise and provide an excellent road race for runners of all abilities at national and local level. Recognising, through prize monies and awards, the best national racers in their age groups and those just starting out in their running.
Provide an avenue to promote Newark as a town and an opportunity for local businesses and organisations to publicise themselves.
Provide the means for local charities to raise monies for their causes.

 

Our Headline charity this year is Children's Bereavement Centre:

The Children’s Bereavement Centre is run by a committed team of friendly, supportive and professional people who are passionate about helping children and young people to cope with the grieving process brought on by the death or terminal illness diagnosis that has a prognosis of a year or less for survival of someone close.
