The half marathon aims to raise money for local community projects and charities.
To safely hold this event, we need to temporarily restrict access/Use a one way system – please see details below, the FAQ's include maps.
ALL LOCAL BUSINESS ARE OPEN AS USUAL
We try to minimize impact as much as possible and we appreciate local residents support during the few hours on Sunday 13th August 2023.
In order to assist residents who need to travel to and from their homes during these hours, there will be, where possible, arrangements made to assist. If you require this or need further

I Live in Newark (Hawton Road area)The race will Start on Hawton road at 09:00 and Hawton road will be fully closed whilst the runners collect and depart. The runners will walk from Sconce park at approx 08:40, going onto valley prospect , down parkway and then congregate on Hawton road in prep for the start of the race. At 09:00 the runners will head towards Hawton, meaning Hawton road will be able to be used for residents access from approx 09:15 (up to the junction of Valley prospect) At approximately 09:50, we expect the first runners to return via Hawton road into Newark, then turn left onto Valley prospect, making their way to Sconce Park. Valley prospect will have a One Way system in operation Course road will be fully open by 12:30

I Live in HawtonOnce the race starts at 09:00, runners will make their way from Hawton road into Hawton, then turning right onto Hawton Lane. We expect the first runner to come through Hawton at approx 09:05. Runners will return through Hawton towards the end of the race, we expect the final runner to come through Hawton at 12:00 and the roads are fully open from 12:30

I live in ElstonWe expect the first runner to enter Elston at approx 09:30 the a46 slip road will be closed. We expect the final runner to exit Elston village at 10:45. A one way system will be in operation, please see bleow

I Live in ThorpeWe expect the first runner to entre Thorpe village at 09:45 and the final runner to exit Thorpe village at 10:30

I'm a local business on the route courseAccess to businesses will be as normal, but please expect a slight delay whilst we ensure safety of our runners, marshalls will be on hand and available to assist residents and business owners/visitors.
